eBay Plus Weekend & EOFY
About
eBay’s annual Plus Weekend has come around again and this year there is a big emphasis on also combining Plus Weekend with EOFY as this shopping event will follow directly after the Plus Weekend event. In order to bring this mega campaign to life, 2 creative concepts were presented to the eBay Brand and Acquisition teams to get sign off before rolling the creative out to the many marketing channels, both onsite and offsite.
Plus Weekend
Plus Weekend was the first of 2 parts for the End of Financial Year sale at eBay. Plus Weekend has a been an annual retail moment that rivals that of Amazon Prime Weekend with amazing discounts on great products, amazing deals and also a competition just for eBay Plus members.
The 2 main purposes of this campaign was to get brand new eBay Plus subscribers through the marketing and to offer all our subscribers new and old amazing deals and sales. The range of creative assets produced included Above the line printed assets, on site marketing banners, off site digital display and email designs.
eBay EOFY
eBay EOFY is the second part of this 2 part campaign. While Plus weekend was to gain new eBay Plus subscribers, the EOFY component of this campaign is to ensure that our new subscribers keep getting amazing offers for the rest of June. One of the main parts of the EOFY sale is a 20% off promotion on selected sellers. This campaign is open to everyone who shops on eBay while Plus subscribers get an extra 2% off in this sale giving them a 22% off total on selected sellers.
The creative assets required for this campaign are the exact same as the Plus Weekend campaign. Assets created were Above the line printed assets, on site marketing banners, off site digital display and email designs.
